Saturday afternoon: All of our unmarried children were busy, busy within their own personal worlds: Basketball-tournament, sleep-over, ministry-involvement and art-exhibition…Millie and I are alone for the whole day!
No cooking. No driving Miss Daisy chauffeuring. No housecleaning. No laundry. Nothing!
Millie hates and loves whenever my spontaneity over-governs my emotions and my head and heart decides on impulsive decisions. Decisions to spend time with her and her alone!

After dinner, Millie and I walked to the beach and kicked it for a while. It’s the small things in life that are now bringing satisfaction, personal joy and contentment to my existence. My wife has now become my best friend.
