Christmas Boxes for the Troops

A few months ago CCM decided to partner with the troops in the middle East and send care-packages to Marines in harms way. I was blown away with the immediate response by our congregation! Lists were compiled of things that the soldiers needed and we were able to put care-packages together and mail them in time for Christmas.

Below is an email and photo from one of the men who recieved the packages.

Semper Fi,
panch

To the members of Calvary Chapel on behalf of the Marines of Bravo Company 2nd Platoon.  I would like to thank you for the care packages you sent and I appreciate your time and effort it took putting them together.  I enjoyed receiving your boxes and letters, it made my day a little better.  As any service member will tell you, receiving mail while you are away from home is like a child getting presents on Christmas Eve.  "And of course some children still get a little more than other." I would like to thank a few individuals.  First the people responsible for putting the packages together.  I would like to thank Ms. Corrine Marrujo, Mrs. Yolanda Cuellar, Mr. Jose Verduzco Sr., to the gentleman who made the cookies, we enjoyed them very much and to the Mrs. who works at the Smoothie Bar if I forgot your name I apologize, one of the boxes arrived on a rainy day and your letters had to be stored in a more secure location in which I can not get to at this time but thank you all for your letters.  And last but not
least Pastor Pancho Juarez, thank you for your letters and your CD's, when a Chaplain is unavailable for Sunday service which is quite often since our company is detached from the main body, the Marines will use your recorded testimony as our Sunday service.  Well gotta go, duty
calls something always when its my platoons turn to rest.  Once again thank you for the letters and packages, and for supporting our
efforts in Iraq and your continue support in the war of our terror.

Respectfully
Rudy G. Araiza
